Information stored in your browser

The website stores your Light or Grayscale appearance choice in local storage under forkways-appearance. It stays on your device until you clear this site’s browser data. Browsing still works when storage is unavailable.

Search terms, selected filters, and dish identifiers can appear in the page address and browser history. Anyone you share that address with can see those selections. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information in search.

What the application sends

Your browser requests the website files, a search catalog, and the source details for dishes you open. Search filtering runs in your browser. This version includes no advertising scripts, analytics scripts, account registration, or automated newsletter service.

The hosting service receives ordinary web requests, which can include an IP address, browser information, and the requested address. Provider-specific logging and retention information will be added when hosting is selected.

Recipe email requests

The optional recipe email invitation appears after about 30 seconds, automatically at most once per browser tab session. You can reopen it yourself using Recipe emails in the footer. If you dismiss it or open the signup form, a timestamp in local storage suppresses it for 5 days. The website does not store your email address in browser storage.

Choosing Subscribe loads a Google Form inside the invitation. You can also open the form in a new tab. Google receives ordinary connection information when the form loads and processes any information you submit under its Privacy Policy. The form is not loaded until you choose Subscribe.

Responses are collected in the form owner’s Google account to manage recipe email subscriptions. This website does not publish a subscriber list or save email addresses in browser storage. Submitting the Google Form records your request; this website does not automatically send newsletters. Email Saad Naseem to unsubscribe or request deletion.

Links to recipe publishers

Opening an original recipe takes you to another website with its own privacy practices. Those publishers may use cookies, advertising, or analytics. forkways does not control their websites.

Your choices

You can clear this site’s browser storage to remove the saved appearance preference. You can also clear browser history to remove saved search addresses.
